6-year-old author teams up with fast food chain

MASON, OH (FOX19) -

A 6-year-old author is teaming up with a fast food chain to inspire creativity and promote reading for beginners.

The story My 100 Hands was created by Lauryn Marie Burks, who was 5-years-old at the time. Lauryn daydreamed about having 100 little friendly hands that would help her perform various tasks and chores. Her parents helped bring her idea to life.

The book is meant to engage children in a way that opens up a child's creativity and imagination.

Chick-Fil-A will feature Lauryn and her new book during their weekly Family Night. Lauryn will read her book to kids, answer questions and sign copies of her book.

Family night will be held on Tuesday night from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Chick-Fil-A located at 5150 Merten Drive in Mason. Lauryn will also be signing her book on September 24 at the restaurant located at 7733 Voice of America Center Drive in West Chester.
