Police have re-opened a case that has gone unsolved for 30 years.
decades, friends and family of 17-year-old Sharon Ward have gone without
answers. Ward's body was found in Oregon in February of 1982.
was dumped in a field and had been struck in the head multiple times and had
her wrists slit," said Detective Sgt. Kelly Thibert of the Oregon Police
at the time were never able to close the case, and Ward's killer is still at
large. Police decided to take another look at the case after communicating with
Ward's friend Karen Jones on Facebook.
