TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A man accused of being involved with the New Year's Eve murder of a University of Toledo student has pleaded guilty to a murder charge.

Toledo Police say Ashley Hundstrucker, along with Kevin Brooks, and Daquaine Booth, fatally shot Brian Minley. They say the three suspects planned to rob Minley by arranging to buy marijuana from his home on Berdan Avenue.

Prosecutors say Booth was behind the drug-related murder. He was set to go to trial Sept. 30, but pleaded guilty to murder with a firearms specification Friday. His aggravated robbery and burglary charges have been dismissed. He has been sentenced to 18 years to life in prison.

During her courtroom appearance Sept. 16, Hundstrucker pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit involuntary manslaughter. The judge set her next courtroom appearance for early October.

On Sept. 9, Brooks pleaded guilty to a single count of complicity to commit involuntary manslaughter. He faces three to 11 years in prison when he is sentenced in October.
