George Takei joins Cincinnati Pops performance

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

George Takei, the original "Mr. Sulu" of Star Trek, is taking part in a performance by the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra concert this weekend.

Takei is also in town to serve as the grand marshal of the 2013 Oktoberfest parade in downtown Cincinnati

On Friday, he was the narrator and host of "The Final Frontier," a Cincinnati Pops space-themed multimedia musical extravaganza.

There are performances on Saturday and Sunday evening as well. Tickets start at $25 and are available by calling (513) 381-3300 or visiting www.cincinnatipops.org.
