KYTC warns that SB I-471 will be a mess this weekend

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Revive the Drive project is nearing completion and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is warning drivers that work on southbound I-471 will cause traffic to back up over this weekend.

KYTC reports that last weekend's rain delayed some of the resurfacing, but crews have been working around the clock to keep things on schedule to be complete by the first week of November.

Beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, October 11th, 2013, traffic restrictions will be in place on I-471 SB for final resurfacing beginning on the Big Mac Bridge, extending through the I-275 Interchange.

At 10 p.m. on Friday night, traffic will be further reduced to a single lane until 6 a.m. Monday morning, October 14th.

The entrance and exit ramps throughout the corridor may be closed at various times while I-471 SB is surfaced in front of the ramps.  Detours will not be posted so drivers are encouraged to use the next ramp.

KYTC says to expect long delays and consider alternate routes.
