(FOX19) - A woman shot by her estranged husband before he turned the gun on himself last August has remained in the hospital unable to move her arms and legs.
A new video uploaded to YouTube offers an encouraging light of hope and healing.
Alisha Waters, 31, was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after the shooting at her workplace in Ft. Thomas.
While getting into the elevator, she was shot once in the neck, once in the leg and three times in the abdomen. The shooter, D.J. Mathis, died after turning the gun on himself.
Doctors have told Alisha's family she may never walk again. A video uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday shows Alisha moving her arm.
While the movement is slight, you can tell it takes everything in her to do it.
Below the video reads, "Grit and determination to move her arm regardless of the pain. She is our strength and inspiration."
