CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - An Iowa-based film company will host an anti-IRS rally in Cincinnati on Thursday morning as a part of a 28 state bus tour to promote a film that challenges alleged practices of the agency.
Gadsden Films, a film company, will rally in front of the IRS building downtown Cincinnati on Thursday, September 26 at 10:30 a.m. The company is promoting a new film called "Unfair, Exposing the IRS" which is set to be released in 2014 on Tax Day.
Directors of the movie say they are holding the rally to get the conversation started to change the tax system.
The Cincinnati based IRS office was involved in a scandal where officials were accused of unfairly targeting tea party groups who were applying for tax exempt status in May.
Since the scandal, several top employees at the office resigned including Lois Lerner who was at the focal point of the controversy.
