A Michigan college football program is paying tribute to Ben Flick, a UC lineman who was killed in a crash last weekend.

Western Michigan University's football team will wear the University of Cincinnati athletic logo on their helmets this weekend.

WMU's coach P.J. Fleck tweeted, "Our thoughts are with everyone associated with the University of Cincinnati and their program at this time. Keep Rowing!!"

University of Cincinnati Athletic Director Whit Babcock tweeted, "Thank you to @WMU_Football for this first-class gesture & tribute. Go Broncos! Pulling for you this Sat. #Bearcats."

Flick, a first year red shirted linemen, was killed in a car crash late Saturday night.

The WMU football program doesn't have any direct ties with Flick but told national news sites, "it was the right thing to do."
