Police are searching for two suspects
following a fatal shooting in West College Hill.
Officers were called to a reported shooting
at Crutchfield Park, located in the 6400 block of Simpson Avenue, around 8:15
p.m. on Friday night.
Upon arrival, officers found a 29-year-old
man had been shot. The victim was transported to Mercy Mt. Airy Hospital where
he was pronounced dead.
The victim's name has been withheld pending
Authorities are searching for two suspects following
the shooting. Police say both suspects are approximately 20 years old. The
first suspect has been described as a 160 pound black male wearing a blue
hoodie with white stripes on the sleeves. The second suspect is described as
having a slim build and wearing a grey hoodie and green shorts with white trim.
The suspects were last seen running east on
Highland. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact
