OVI checkpoint planned in Westwood

WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) - The Hamilton County OVI Task Force is planning a sobriety checkpoint on Saturday evening in Westwood.

Saturday's checkpoint, located in the 2400 block of Harrison Avenue, was chosen due to the large number of OVI related crashes and arrests that have occurred in the area during the past year.

Checkpoint operations will begin at 9:00 p.m. and at 1:00 a.m.

The OVI Task Force hopes that the checkpoint will enhance public awareness of the OVI problem and serves as a deterrent to potential OVI violators.
