RIPLEY COUNTY, IN (FOX19) - A stolen utility vehicle has been recovered in Ripley County after authorities chased down a man wanted for an outstanding arrest warrant through Jennings County.
On September 10, authorities in Ripley County received reports on the whereabouts of a wanted Holton, Ind. man. Rocky Tyler, 27, was wanted for an outstanding warrant through Jennings County.
Sheriffs say that a Holton Marshal followed the lead and located Tyler in Nebraska, Ind. Sheriffs say that as he approached the scene, the Marshal spotted a Polaris Ranger utility vehicle that appeared to match the description of a vehicle previously stolen from the Holton area.
Sheriffs say that Tyler observed the Marshal's presence and fled the scene on the vehicle.
The Marshal pursued Tyler but lost sight of the vehicle. Sheriffs say that the vehicle was later found and confirmed as the stolen utility vehicle.
Officers say that Tyler was not apprehended and is still at large.
These incident is under investigation by the Holton Police Department and the Ripley County Sheriff's Office.
