TQL Urban Race online registration ends soon

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Online registration for the TQL Urban Race through downtown Cincinnati closes Friday at noon.

The first-ever downtown obstacle course race is Saturday, October 12. The race begins and ends at Washington Park in Over-the-Rhine and will cover approximately 3.5 miles through the streets of Cincinnati.

The 12th and final obstacle will be unveiled Thursday morning during an interview on 96ROCK (96.5 FM). The previously revealed 11 obstacles and the official course map can be viewed on the race web site.

An after-party is planned at Washington Park from 9:45 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., sponsored by Miller Lite and 4EG.

TQL Urban Race is organized by Total Quality Logistics, which provides freight transportation and logistic services. TQL partnered The Flying Pig Marathon to plan, produce and execute the race.

Organizers say a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Marvin Lewis Community Fund and the Reds Community Fund.  Volunteers at the race will include kids from each program handing out medals to the runners.
