Reds fans weigh in on the season

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - If you're a Reds fan, you probably have your opinion of how the Reds handled the Pirates. However, there are those who say accepting disappointment is the true measure of fan loyalty.

Gordon Graham caught up with a few fans on Wednesday. They share with us their take on Tuesday's game.

"They've had a good entertaining season," said Steve. "I love watching Brandon Phillips out there. You know, I go down and get entertained - get my money's worth from them."

Aside from a few good vibes, the disappointment among some fans is palpable.

"I was just really let down on the fact that the whole team really didn't come through on just a team effort," said Jake. "I was more of just expecting one player to really go and take the whole game and pull it through. It was a team effort that they really just kind of let us down."

Davonna shares these sentiments saying she was "very disappointed because I thought they were going to do good this year. Well they did do a good job, but I kind of expected them to go further."

Many fans are calling for Dusty Baker's dismissal. However, Baker has plenty of supporters.

"I think we could probably use some new leadership," explains Jason, "but he's not the only one or the only problem."

Despite how fans are feeling at the moment, the Reds set a new attendance record this year, which speaks numbers of the Reds' fan base.
