An overturned semi truck closed part of I-75 on Saturday morning, bringing traffic to a standstill.
Police say around 11:15 a.m., a truck flipped over on its passenger side on I-75, near exit 201B towards downtown Toledo.
The accident caused a large amount of fuel to spill into the roadway.
That part of the highway was closed down into the evening as Toledo Police worked to clean up the mess.
Witnesses on the scene say the truck appeared to be blackened on the bottom, as though it caught on fire after the accident. Witnesses say the driver did not appear to be injured after the crash.
Drivers are being advised to avoid northbound I-75 through Toledo by using State Route 795, Miami Street or Front Street to I-280 as an alternative.
It's unknown at this time what caused the crash. An investigation is underway.
