EVANSTON, OH (FOX19) - Saturday's Walk to End Alzheimer's raised nearly $350,000.
Thousands wearing purple shirts invaded Sawyer Point Saturday morning to raise awareness for the Alzheimer's Association of Cincinnati.
The 5k walk also raised money for support programs and services for those who have Alzheimer's or dementia and their families.
5.4 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer's. Organizers say there is no cure, no prevention and no way to slow down the disease.
