UC football player released from hospital after crash killing two others

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Mark Barr, a University of Cincinnati football player, has been released from the hospital after an accident that claimed the life of two others.

According to a UC Football spokesperson, Barr was released from University of Cincinnati Medical Center over the weekend and moved to a rehab center. The representatives says that Barr "continues to make positive progress."

Emergency crews responded to an accident September 21 on Stahlheber Road in Hanover Township. Investigators said the vehicle went off the road for an unknown reason.

UC lineman Ben Flick, 19, of Hamilton, Ohio died at the scene. The driver, Sean VanDyne, 18, and his two other passengers, Mark Barr and Javon Harrison, both age 18, were flown from the crash site via medical helicopter to UC Medical Center.

VanDyne later died from his injuries at the hospital. Harrison has since been treated and released from the hospital.
