In the U.S., 158 million people are expected  to celebrate it this year and they'll spend nearly 7 billion on costumes, treats, parties and their pets.

We're talking about Halloween.

19 Action News reporter Tiffani Tucker went to Spirit Halloween in Brooklyn to find out the hottest picks this year for costumes.

"More people are doing parties at home. So, we are seeing every year the adult population is loving Halloween even more," says Jimmy Hignite of Spirit Halloween.

Topping the list, the his and her twerk it costume, made popular, of course, by Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke's performance at the VMA's.

"Everybody wants to know where they can get their twerk it leotard and the twerk it suit," says Hignite.

The costume should be in stores soon. Employees say they get at least five calls a day about the costume.  You can pre-order it online and it will be mailed to you.

The other popular costume this year, the "Adventure Time" characters from the show on the Cartoon Network.

Plenty of people walking out with the "Walking Dead" look these days. It's enough to give you the creeps.

"The Regular Show" characters are a hit, along with pretty much any type of super hero.

"The Simpsons" are a natural favorite year after year.

Rounding out the list is the reality show, "Duck Dynasty" costume is also getting a lot of votes.

Some say they will just stick with the classic witch costume.  "I'm a witch 365 days a year," says Dawn Gamble.

Just remember this Halloween to leave the real trick or treating to the kids.

To get the costume you want, it can cost you anywhere from 25 to 40 bucks.
