Man arrested after shots fired at Union Twp. residence

UNION TOWNSHIP, CLERMONT COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - One man has been arrested after Union Township Police and Clermont County SWAT teams were called to a residence.

Officers say the incident happened around 5:00 p.m. at an apartment complex located in the 700 block of Ohio Pike.

Authorities say that a mother, worried about her adult son's well-being, knocked on her son's door with no answer. Police say she then attempted to open the door and several gunshots were heard.

The mother fled the scene and contacted Union Township Police.

Officers say they tried to make contact with the individual upon arrival. Authorities say that the Clermont County Special Reaction Team was called.

Jeremy Boggess was taken into custody without further incident. The man has been charged with improperly discharging a firearm into a habitation, weapons while intoxicated and inducing panic.

The incident remains under investigation.
