Road closures planned for UC's Homecoming

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

As the University of Cincinnati has announced several street closures as the school prepares for Homecoming.

During the Homecoming parade on Saturday, several closures are planned. The closures include:

 

  • Calhoun Street, between Vine Street and Clifton Avenue, will close at 7:30 a.m. 
  • Clifton Avenue, between McMillan and Martin Luther King Jr. avenues, will close at 8:15 a.m.
  • Eastbound traffic on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, between Clifton Avenue and Woodside Drive will be restricted prior to the start of the parade. The eastbound right-hand lane (the lane closest to campus) will be closed; the middle and left-hand lanes will remain open. Westbound traffic will remain unaffected. 

 

Students and staff should also watch for temporary no parking signs along these streets which will be posted on Friday. Police say that cars left in the no parking zones will be towed Saturday morning to clear the parade route.
