VAN ZANDT COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

A man wanted for burglarizing coin-operated machines in East Texas, has been arrested after an officer recognized him on television.

Tyler police say a Van Zandt County Deputy Constable saw Michael Ward of Canton on television Monday evening. Ward was accused of breaking into a vending machine at a Tyler Holiday Inn on Sunday night.

The officer recognized Ward as his neighbor. He called another officer to the scene, and they apprehended Ward. 

His alleged accomplice, Tracy Lynn Mallewick is still at large.
