PRICE HILL, OH (FOX19) - A murder suspect was taken into custody Tuesday after a standoff situation near Seton High School in Price Hill.
Ghazzali Ebn Abdur Rashid, 23, was arrested on Tuesday afternoon
Officers were attempting to arrest the suspect at the Cedar Grove apartment building on Beech Avenue, however the man refused to come outside.
Police said that Rashid was wanted for a Bond Hill murder on October 3rd and had barricaded himself inside the apartment.
A SWAT team was called in just before noon. Within the hour, the suspect surrendered to authorities without incident. No injuries were reported.
Rashid is accused of shooting 37-year-old Michael Howe multiple times near California and Oberlin Avenue. Police said Howe died at the scene.
Tuesday's police standoff was near the intersection of Beech and Vincent Avenue, just behind Seton High School. Both Seton and Elder High School were on lockdown during the incident.
Rashid has been charged with murder, burglary, abduction and weapons charges. His bond has been set at $1.5 million.
