OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) - A section of Vine Street will be closed this weekend to accommodate utility relocation as part of the Cincinnati Streetcar project.
City officials say Duke Energy's underground electrical work result in the following closures from 6 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, to 6 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21:
- Vine Street – Closed at 12th Street
- 12th Street – Eastbound closed at Vine Street
There will be no access to and from the Gateway Garage on 12th Street, however the garage's entrance and exit on Central Parkway will remain open.
The city says the parking lot on the northeast corner of the intersection will also remain open and accessible from westbound 12th Street.
Metro bus service will be rerouted around the closure. All sidewalks and crosswalks will remain open.
The first rail for the streetcar was installed Tuesday morning outside of Music Hall.
