WINTON HILLS, OH (FOX19) -

Authorities say a woman crashed her car into an apartment building early Thursday while under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

The accident happened in Winton Hills around 12 a.m. According to the police report, Haley McGee of Highland Heights, Ky. was speeding on Este Avenue when she lost control on a curve and ran off the right side of the road.

The vehicle, a 1997 Ford Thunderbird, struck a fence, continued up an embankment sending the car airborne before eventually crashing into an apartment building in the 4800 block of Este Avenue.

She was trapped after the accident and had to be extricated by emergency crews. She was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Police say she'll face a charge of operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

The accident remains under investigation.
