GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police say that alcohol and the lack of seatbelts may be to blame for a Green Township accident that left one man dead.
Officers say that the accident happened around 12:30 a.m. on Friday morning in the 6300 block of Harrison Avenue.
Authorities say that Tammy Reverman, 47, was driving southbound on Harrison Avenue when she failed to maintain control of her vehicle. Police say that the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking the curb.
Reverman's vehicle traveled several feet before striking a utility pole. The right-front passenger, identified as 52-year-old William Poole, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reverman was transported to University Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
Officers say that both occupants were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Authorities say that alcohol is believed to be a factor.
The crash remains under investigation.
