Former UK star Nerlens Noel could miss the entire NBA season
because of the knee injury that ended his only season at Kentucky.
Noel, the 7th overall pick in June's NBA draft,
tore his ACL in February playing for UK. Noel had the knee surgically
repaired, but the head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers said Monday he expects
Noel will likely miss the entire season.
"I doubt, everybody doubts that he's going to play this
year," said Brett Brown. "We don't want to waste this year. I think
from a skill perspective, it's an opportunity for us to break down his shot,
really work on his free throws and start a little bit from ground zero."
Noel averaged 10.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.4 blocked
shots his only season at UK.
