CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Pure Romance has signed an agreement to relocate its company headquarters to Plum Street in downtown Cincinnati.
According to a release sent Monday, the building is located at 655 Plum Street, near the intersection of W. 7th Street, and owned by Al. Neyer.
The Ohio Development Services Agency previously denied Pure Romance tax credits after a review, stating the popular romantic accessory business isn't the type of industry JobsOhio typically invests in. Cincinnati City Council's budget committee voted in October to support Pure Romance in tax credits.
The move will bring about 60 jobs to the area. Company officials expect to begin the move in January 2014.
"We are proud to close on this deal and commit to Downtown Cincinnati and contribute to the growth this city is experiencing," says Chris Cicchinelli, president and CEO, Pure Romance. "Our entire team is eager to join the urban core and support Cincinnati's vibrant business community."
Originally based in Loveland, Ohio, Pure Romance has signed a ten-year lease for the Plum Street location. Pure Romance officials say the relocation will accommodate Pure Romance's existing employees, as well as provide expansion space for future growth.
Pure Romance will continue to maintain a warehouse in Loveland, officials say.
The building and adjoining parking garage were built at the corner of Plum and 6th streets in 2000 to accommodate the Delta Reservations Call Center. The space provides Pure Romance an onsite parking amenity which is unique to other office spaces in Downtown Cincinnati.
"Al. Neyer has long been an active supporter of Cincinnati, and this building represents an investment we've made in the Downtown district," says Dave Neyer, principal and executive vice president. "We are excited to be a part of this opportunity to bring Pure Romance and its many jobs to the Queen City."
