A 17-year-old student was arrested Monday morning at Western Hills University High School following a reported gun scare.
According to a public affairs spokesperson with Cincinnati Public Schools, a student reported to administrators that another male student had shown a gun on the school bus.
Upon arriving to the high school, the student fled. Officials say he later returned and passed through metal detectors. He and his locker were also searched by responding officers.
No gun was found on him. However, the student was arrested and charged with aggravated menacing and inducing panic.
He's currently being held at the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.
