By Brittany Clark

OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) - Hip-Hop artist Talib Kweli, a nationally known hip-hop artist who gained prominent recognition through songs such as Get By, hits the stage Halloween night at RhineGeist Brewery located  in Over-The-Rhine.

The proceeds from this event will go towards Turn the Tables & Scratch the Violence campaign. Turn the tables & Scratch the Violence is an anti-violence campaign that gives youths a creative outlet to express themselves in a positive way while giving them the opportunity to learn about the hip-hop culture.

"It's important because we are showcasing the talent of Cincinnati hip hop artists along side of Talib Kweli," says Marshauna JaQuin, director of promotions. "The event was created to show the youth true hip-hop isn't dead and there is positivity in every aspect of the culture."

Live performances from Cincinnati Hip Hop artists includes: Buggs Tha Rocka, Valley High, Macho Means, The Natives, and Nuk.

The event includes a Bengals tailgate starting at 7 p.m. There will be a costume contest and giving away prizes during the tailgate.
