FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) - A Fairfield woman is murdered in her apartment and police are looking for a suspect that they say is armed and dangerous.
Early Thursday morning, Fairfield police were called to investigate a shooting on Wildwood Drive.
Inside, police found Samantha Decker, 24, dead.
Police have identified the suspect in her death as Nicholas Delaney, 28. Police report that Delaney is Decker's ex-boyfriend and the father of her child.
After the murder, the police put an alert out for a bright yellow Ford Mustang that they say Delaney drove away from the scene.
Police found the vehicle parked on Van Kirk Ave. near the intersection of 73rd St. at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Thursday morning.
Investigators conducted surveillance on the vehicle before towing it back to the Fairfield Police Department to be processed for evidence.
On November 1, 2013 at 12:30 p.m., Nicholas Delaney turned himself in at the Fairfield Police Department accompanied by his attorney David Washington.
Delaney will be booked on the murder warrant and then incarcerated at the Butler County Jail.
Delaney's initial arraignment in the Fairfield Municipal Court will be on November 5, 2013 at 9:00 a.m.
