Washington Park to host apple festival

OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) -

Washington Park will be hosting its first-ever Apple Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, November 2.

The Park's Apple Fest features:

  • Music by Magnolia Mountain and the Blue Rock Boys
  • Freshly made treats like caramel apple pizza, cinnamon apple cupcakes and smoked apple-pork sandwiches.
  • Crafts with Cincinnati Park's Explore Nature
  • Petting zoo
  • Face painting and caricature artists
  • Downtown carriage rides
  • Apple pie eating contest, raffles and more
  • Full bar service with drink specials
  • hot cider, soda and popcorn

Representatives from presenting sponsor Jason's Connection will also be on-site distributing information about the launch of their new website, as well as other disability services in the area.

Jason's Connection chose to sponsor an event in Washington Park because its children's playground was designed to exceed all ADA requirements for accessibility for disabled children and adults.

Guests can stop by The Anchor-OTR for lunch, located at 1401 Race Street, and receive a complimentary apple crisp dessert with the purchase of any entrée.
