UC to host Ability Olympics

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - UC's Office of Disability Services, Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity and Sara Spins are organizing the second-annual Ability Olympics at UC.

Ability Olympics is a series of Olympic-style events that have been slightly modified to accommodate persons with disabilities.

Participants will have an opportunity to play wheelchair basketball, seated volleyball and wheelchair relay and obstacle course challenges.

he purpose of the event is to raise funds for a wheelchair and/or mobility device for a deserving UC student to pursue dreams of a higher education.

Organizers will also be selling hot dogs and drinks toward the purchase of a wheelchair/mobility device. Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Most Spirited teams.

Event registration is $100. Teams will consist of 10 competitors.
