Springfield police investigating early morning home invasion

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Police are investigating a home invasion that took place around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday.

They told CBS 3 that three masked men, believed to be Hispanic, forced their way into a house on Colonial Avenue.

Police said a gun was used to strike the homeowner.

CBS 3 media partner Mass Live and The Republican reported the suspects left with a laptop computer and $30 in change.

The homeowner did not require medical attention for his injury.
