Police searching for suspects in BB gun burglary

MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) -

Police were called to a Middletown home early Wednesday for a reported home invasion.

It happened in the 700 block of Eaton Avenue just before 1 a.m. A resident reported being shot with a BB gun by an intruder.

An investigation revealed that the resident, Donnie Brown, was in his bed with his girlfriend and their 4-month-old baby when three white males forced open the front door and attacked him.

The intruders assaulted Brown in the face some type of handgun, resulting in minor facial injuries, then took cash, a cell phone and marijuana from the bedroom and fled north on Eaton towards Grand Avenue.

Responding officers took one suspect, Bradley Bush, into custody after he attempted to flee on foot.

Bush, 20, was charged with aggravated burglary and drug abuse. He was booked into the Middletown City Jail and is scheduled to appear in Middletown Municipal Court Wednesday morning.

Police are still searching for the two other suspects involved. Anyone that may have witnesses any part of the crime is asked to call Det. Kenny Rogers at 513-425-7741.

Police issued Brown a criminal summons for possession of marijuana.
