A suspect has been taken into custody following a meth lab explosion Wednesday night in Sycamore Township.
Emergency crews were dispatched to a condominium in the 1900 block of Chaucer Drive just before 10 p.m. Upon arrival, windows and siding had been blown off of the second floor of a condo unit.
Once inside the home, authorities found materials used to make methamphetamine. The regional narcotics unit was called to the scene, secured the condo and removed the chemicals.
The condo owner and her son, identified as Edward Greenwood, were the only people inside at the time. Greenwood, 58, fled the scene before authorities arrived.
He was eventually taken into custody and charged with illegal manufacture of drugs and illegal assembly of chemicals to manufacture drugs.
Greenwood is currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
No one was injured in the explosion.
