Federal prison officials say the prison camp in West Virginia where Martha Stewart will do her time is safe. The US Bureau of Prisons insists there are enough guards there, although there are vacancies. An official with a prison workers' union says Alderson Federal Prison Camp has 35 to 40 officers, compared to the 60 it had in the late 1990s. He says that could make it hard to protect Stewart. Martha Stewart has until two p-m Friday to report to Alderson to begin serving five months for lying about a stock sale.
