CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The arrival of Cincinnati's annual holiday tree has been delayed after difficulties were encountered while preparing the tree for delivery.
The 2013 Macy's Holiday Tree was set to arrive on Saturday evening at Fountain Square.
The original tree, a 60 foot Norway spruce, was to be provided by George Korohsazi of Norwood.
However, a weak spot in the upper trunk of the tree caused it to snap while the tree was loaded into the flatbed. Officials with the Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation say that a backup plan is in place.
