Delhi Support Group Thanks You

It's a story we first brought you on the Fox19 Ten O'clock News four months ago. A woman in Delhi Township wanted to send care packages to troops overseas, and during the summer, she says the response from the community has been overwhelming.

Valerie Gruen, head of the Delhi Support Group, says her garage is packed with donations. She even receives donations left on her doorstep with no name or note. She still has 350 pounds of goodies (125 boxes) to ship out. The Sunoco, and Mary's Hallmark off Delhi Pike sell t-shirts to raise money for shipping. The Delhi Fire Department has also been a key force behind the Support Group.

"It's just from everybody and Delhi's been so supportive, it's really amazing, it really is," Says Valerie.

If you want to get involved,

V
alerie needs more people to help with packing the boxes.
S
he also needs more names of troops, so if you have a relative or friend overseas, let
V
alerie know so she can send them packages.
