CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY (FOX19) -- Four new championship banners are to be hung at Thomas More College in Northern Kentucky.
Over the weekend the women's soccer team, men's soccer team, women's volleyball team and the football team each won the President's Athletic Conference Championship.
"This weekend epitomizes what our faculty, staff and students do at Thomas More College on a daily basis. There is a commitment to excellence here that permeates everything we do. Four conference titles in one weekend is almost unheard of. It is great that our coaches and student athletes expect that excellence, but we can still recognize that this is a special accomplishment and herald our victories," said President David Armstrong.
This was the women's soccer team third straight and fourth overall PAC Championship win. With the win on November 8, the Saints earned the PAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
The top-seeded Thomas More College men's soccer team won its fifth straight PAC Championship Tournament. With the win on November 10, the Saints earn the PAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament as well.
The third-seeded Thomas More College volleyball team won its second-straight and fifth overall PAC Championship on Saturday. With the win, the Saints earn the PAC automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. It will be the Saints' school-best twelfth NCAA Division III Tournament appearance.
Thomas More's College football team also clinched PAC Championship win on Saturday.
While victory is not rare for the Thomas More College Saints, this weekend certainly goes down in its sports history as one of the biggest.
