Matthew 25: Ministries sets up medical clinic in the Philippines

BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19) -

Matthew 25: Ministries has set up a medical clinic in the Philippines to provide disaster relief for people affected by Typhoon Haiyan.

Haiyan, one of the most powerful typhoons ever recorded, reached the central islands of the Philippines on Nov. 8. More than 5,200 were killed and hundreds of thousands of survivors were left without food, water, shelter and medicine.

Headquartered in Blue Ash, the international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization sent a medical mission team to Bantayna, an island severely impacted by the typhoon located northwest of Cebu.

On Friday, they saw more than 200 patients over the course of the day. The team plans to remain on Bantayna Saturday and continue providing medical care.

The Matthew 25: Ministries headquarters is located at 11060 Kenwood Road. Read additional information about the organization's Typhoon Haiyan Relief here.
