Arrest made in robbery & shooting near UC

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A Northside teen is arrested after an investigation into a robbery and shooting near the University of Cincinnati campus.

It happened on Warner Street near Stratford around 12 a.m. on October 28.

Police say a UC student and a male friend were approached by two suspects. The suspects began a conversation with them before stealing the student's purse and wallet and shooting the male in the abdomen.

The male victim was taken to UC Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, according to UC Police.

On Tuesday, detectives arrested and charged a 17-year-old male with two counts of Aggravated Robbery and one count of Felonious Assault.

Police say they believe there are more people involved and the investigation will continue.
