Cincinnati area businessmen accused of falsifying education test

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Two Cincinnati area businessmen are accused of falsifying information on a continuing education test, according to the Ohio Department of Insurance.

Jonathan E. Thornberry, of Independence, KY, and Paul G. Sittenfeld, of Cincinnati, were issued consent orders by the department on Oct. 7. Sittenfeld reportedly allowed Thornberry to complete an online Ohio continuing education course on his behalf.

Sittenfeld is the father of current Cincinnati City Councilman P.G. Sittenfeld. He's on the Board of Trustees for the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County and is the managing director of Baird, a weather management firm. According to the website, Thornberry is vice president.

Both agreed to pay a $1,500 civil penalty fine and $500 in administrative costs.
