MT. ORAB, OH (FOX19) - A 24-year-old Williamsburg man has been charged with aggravated robbery, kidnapping and abduction after breaking into his ex-girlfriend's house in Mt. Orab.

Officers were called around 9:45 p.m. Monday night to a residence on Nixon road. The victim, a 27-year-old woman, reported that a previous boyfriend broke into her residence by pushing through the back patio door.

Police say the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Eric Widmeyer, demanded money from the victim. When the victim refused, officers say Widmeyer struck the woman in the face and the back of the head.

The victim tells police she lost consciousness. When she came to, there was blood on the floor and the suspect told her he would kill her if she didn't give him her money. The victim says she then gave Widmeyer $50 in cash.

Officers say the suspect then demanded the victim to drive him to Eastgate to buy drugs. When she refused, the suspect again threatened to kill her. Authorities say the victim was forced to put her two small children, ages 3 and 5, into the car with her. Police say the suspect proceeded to drive them to Eastgate.

As Widmeyer got out of the vehicle to talk to a man in the parking lot, the victim tells police she locked the doors, climbed over the seat and drove away.

The woman says she dropped her children off at a friend's residence and drove herself to Clermont Mercy Hospital where she was treated for her injuries.

Officers say that Widmeyer turned himself into police around 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Widmeyer has been charged with aggravated robbery, kidnapping, abduction and tampering with evidence.

Widmeyer is being held in the Brown County Detention Center where he awaits arraignment.
