The Diocese has their annual Brute Awards Mass scheduled for Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Benedict Cathedral.

They give out a number of awards to people from all over the Tri-State for giving back.

With severe weather in the forecast on Sunday, the Catholic Diocese of Evansville is advising families to strongly consider the weather before traveling to church.

"You hope for the best, you prepare for the worst," said Tim Lilley. "You want to be prepared, but you hope for the best. We're hopeful, and it's very possible that things could play out very differently than it appears they will 48 hours in advance, but we also know and recognize that today, November 15th, is the 8th anniversary of the F-5 tornado in Madisonville."

The Diocese plans to ship awards to the pastors of those who do not attend the event.
