CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Here's your chance to visit a site hardly seen by the citizens of Cincinnati. Metro is hosting a Riverfront Transit Center Open House today.
Located under second street and typically only used by charter bus passengers going to riverfront events, the transit center plays a critical role in the city by removing bus traffic from Second Street and The Banks. The Cincinnati Metro will be providing information about its facilities and services during the open house that goes until 2 p.m. today. There will be food and drinks, music, prizes and booths set up by community partners.
The open house is a part of Ohio Representative Dale Mallory and Hamilton County Commissioner Todd Portune's ongoing support for enhanced use of the transit center. "The riverfront Transit Center is a valuable community asset, and we want more people to learn about it." Said Metro CEO Terry Garcia.
In addition to today's open house The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber with partners AGAR and Self Diploma will be holding the Ubahn Music Festival in the Riverfront Transit Center tonight.
