An Owensboro man is in jail, accused of leading deputies on a high speed chase in Daviess County.

Deputies say 21-year-old Forrest Stevens ran a stop sign on his motorcycle at the Highland and Monarch Avenue intersection.

They tell us they tried to pull him over, but he took off. Deputies say he wove in and out of traffic on Highway 54 and topped speeds of 90 miles per hour.

Deputies say he was forced to stop on Pleasant Valley Road and then slid off his bike into a ditch.

He was taken into custody and is facing a long list of charges.
