Ft. Thomas PD: Teens wreck stolen truck, break into home

FORT THOMAS, KY (FOX19) -

Two juveniles are facing charges after allegedly stealing a truck in Covington, crashing in Fort Thomas, and then breaking into a home in the middle of the night.

A home invasion was reported Tuesday around 3:30 a.m. on Walker Road. The homeowners were awakened by two suspects inside the house.

After a short confrontation, they fled the scene and were later taken into custody a few blocks away.

The police investigation revealed the juveniles allegedly stole a truck in Covington earlier that night. They wrecked in Fort Thomas, and then broke into the home on Walker Road.

No injuries were reported.

Both suspects were charged with first degree robbery and receiving stolen property. Their names have not been released.
