Information provided by INDOT:
FLOYD COUNTY, Ind.—The Indiana Department of Transportation has rescheduled rain-delayed bridge work on Interstate 64 east of U.S. Highway 150 in Floyd County for this weekend, beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, November 22 —weather permitting. Concrete work may require single-lane closures until 6 a.m. Monday, November 25.
Approach slabs at both ends of the bridge over Quarry Road in New Albany Township are being repaired by Excel Excavating, INDOT's contractor.
INDOT advises motorists to anticipate delays. Lane closures are:
The eastbound I-64 left lane will remain open, but with reduced lane and shoulder width (12-foot lane, 6-foot shoulder).
A signed detour for the ramp closure routes traffic from U.S. 150 onto westbound I-64, then to Exit 118/Georgetown, to eastbound State Road 64 (left at the traffic signal) and to the ramp for eastbound I-64 (again, turn left at the traffic signal).
Additional approach slab repairs have been scheduled for the weekend of December 6-9. No I-64 restrictions are planned for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
