LOVELAND, Ohio (AP) - An Ohio boy who was seriously injured by a lightning strike at a suburban Indianapolis summer camp has gone home after 145 days in the hospital.
Thirteen-year-old Ethan Kadish suffered a severe brain injury when he was struck by lightning June 29 at Goldman Union Camp Institute. The Reform Jewish camp serves children in the Midwest entering grades three to 12. Two other children also were injured.
WCPO-TV (http://bit.ly/18TLVpM ) reports Ethan was discharged from the Cincinnati Children's Medical Center Rehabilitation Unit Wednesday after his doctors determined he was strong enough to go home.
Scott Kadish says his son is now able to breathe on his own, but family members say there's still a long journey ahead.
Doctors have said Ethan could require care for the rest of his life.
