Mesker Park Zoo had to euthanize lioness

Mesker Park Zoo had to say goodbye to an animal on Thursday.

Officials said Daphne the lioness had to be euthanized.

They say her health was failing, she had severe arthritis, and had not been eating.

Daphne spent 16 of her 19 years as part of the Mesker Park Zoo family.
