The trial for a man convicted of murder continues on Friday.

A Vanderburgh County jury found 41-year-old Anthony Goffinet guilty of murder Thursday for the June 2012 death of Kathleen Goffinet.

On Friday, his trial continued with two hearings. The first, termination of a pregnancy. Kathleen was 3 and a half months pregnant when she was killed.

The jury found Goffinet guilty and it is the first time termination of pregnancy has been both charged and convicted in Vanderburgh County. The conviction adds an additional 6-20 years in prison on to his sentence.

The second hearing was for a habitual offender charge. Goffinet had two prior unrelated felonies: intimidation & resisting law enforcement.

The jury also found Goffinet to be a habitual offender, which will add 30 additional years in prison. That brings the total possible to 115 years including the 45-65 years he is facing on the murder conviction.

Sentencing is set for December 23.
